{About Me}

Oh, hey there!

I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area.  After high school, I headed down Highway 5 and matriculated at the University of Southern California. (Fight On!)  21 years of amazing weather was apparently just too boring for me so I packed my bags and headed to Bloomington, Indiana for law school.  After graduation, I practiced law for a little over three years in Indianapolis.  Then I drove up I-65 to Chicago and practiced there for a couple years. I moved to the Washington, D.C. in 2013 and after 8 turbulent, ridiculous, infinitely amazing and horrible months I moved back to Chicago.

I’m a lawyer by day but decided to use this space as my little creative outlet. This is not a blog about my job because no one wants to read a blog about being an attorney (or, more appropriately, I don’t want to write that blog).  I’m not a fashion blogger. I’m not a DIY blogger (though I do have a box of mason jars I’d love to sell you).  I’m using this blog to talk about all the stuff I know about: being really tall, relationships/dating, discovering new music, loving great food, shopping, obsessing about pop culture, being a hard working professional woman, and being really tall (oops…I already said that).  In a nutshell, this is a lifestyle blog with a healthy dose of personal musings about relationships, women’s issues and career advice.  Think of me as the tall, broke and Black Gwyneth Paltrow.

A sample of likes: wine, cheese, bad pop music, horror movies, Zara, football, baking cupcakes, concerts, museums, musicals, discovering new restaurants, trashy magazines, scotch, J.Crew, thrift stores, college basketball, pretending that I like the premiere league, brunch, starting several books and never finishing any, trying new recipes, home decor, board games, flag football, kickball, darts and plenty of other things I can’t remember right now.

P.S. I’m 6’2″.  I hope that explains the blog title.

P.P.S.  I also love pizza.

x,

LPB
